Stumbling along, she…

Stumbling along, she struggles on, along the path so slippery
The rain and hail from the skies, add to her endless misery
Finding a tiny dry spot, a shelter from the unabating torrent
She cowers and shivers, wishing for an end to her eternal torment

Her unpardonable sin, to produce a male progeny, an inability
She is a useless appendage in the culturally putrfied society
Scorned and spurned by the husbands of the daughters she begot
Left alone to fend for herself, strive endlessly, wither and rot
